Exploring New Horizons: Business Leaders Travel to Hunan for Trade Collaboration

Mr. Li Shuliang, President of the Canada-China Business Trade Promotion Association in Toronto, led a delegation to visit the headquarters of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA). The delegation held a focused discussion with the Economic Branch of the Provincial Direct Committee and conducted on-site visits to several member enterprises of the association. Multiple consensuses were reached on deepening China-Canada economic and trade cooperation and supporting Hunan enterprises in achieving high-quality international expansion.
On March 27, the delegation visited the headquarters of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA) and held discussions with Mr. Zeng Bin, the full-time Vice Chairman of the Committee.
Mr. Li Shuliang noted that this visit marks the Association’s first engagement with Hunan’s democratic parties and member enterprises of the CDNCA. He expressed hope that this "first contact, first exchange, and first cooperation" would serve as a starting point for deeper collaboration between Canada and Hunan in areas such as technology and market development.
Mr. Zeng Bin highlighted Canada’s strong technological advantages in fields like the digital economy and biopharmaceuticals. He suggested both sides focus on emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, explore the joint development of a cross-border digital trade platform, and work toward complementing “Hunan manufacturing” with “Canadian technology.”
